ok first of all take humens and go to an corner AS FAST AS U CAN!! now build 3 light towers (its the one with uber range) but make some space for later when u start building ultimate tower. next build elemental towers everywhere near your corner and after that build some mage towers!! after u had your ultimate defence try geting the ultimate tower get 3 or 4 while your mage towers defend u and then attack the nearest/weakest person

this has not been tested but it wont fail u trust me XD

Actually, range defence is weak. You can always counter it easy with offensive towers.

Here's a better defence.

First, build 2 Light Towers (Range) at an enemy.
Next, start building a Cannon Tower in front of your Light Towers (If it can be hit there then shift it a little)
Follow up by constructing a Light Tower and an Elemental Tower.
Build a Cannon Tower nearby.
Repeat until your opponent has few or no towers left.
Once you throw your opponent out, take over his spot and start teching.

This will work as a defence or an offence. And much better than just mass range. Mass Range will work but you'll need stuff like Cannon Towers or some weird damage tower to cover for you.

*When I say build a tower, I mean build the strongest tower possible (EG. Light Tower -> Elemental Tower -> Mage Tower) If you can build Mage, if not, Elemental or Light.

This defense is good But long range towers are not really worth it .. trust me -.- i seen it too many times

not really long range towers are to "scare" off the little noobs

How the heck can u scare off people with range towers... just build a seige tower and its dead

You can't once your opponent gets massive range towers.
